“We recently completed the Puppy Fun and Focus group class with Lisa. Lisa was a great trainer and the classes were very helpful in our first 4 months of having a puppy!
Lisa took the time at the beginning of each session to ask each member if they had any questions on raising their dog from the previous week, and we learnt so many great tips from this. Training time was fun and great to learn new tricks each week but the best part was the puppy socialisation at the end of each session.
She had an in-depth knowledge and a real passion for dogs that shone through.

“We did our puppy training course with Lisa and she is fantastic. Her methods are all about being kind, clear and consistent to the puppies and they respond so well. She is also really great at explaining to us why we should do things in a certain way and about how to not set the dogs up to fail.
The puppy socialisation at the end of each class was great - Lisa helped us to watch for signs that our dogs were getting tired or over excited.

She went above and beyond with us, often staying until late to help us with our 1001 questions about Willow (our beautiful, albeit slightly crazy border collie). We also attended their Puppy Socialization class several times and although our girl was not easy to deal with these guys knew what to do and made her SO much more confident and playful around other dogs. “Gotta say that expectations were rock-bottom and reservations were at an all-time high due to a bad experience puppy class from another provider with our other dog Mollie (Border Collie - red) a few years back. However, the SitHappens classes really surprised us and we found them very informative, both at the class and with the videos. Katya was super-engaging, and Lisa was like the voice of reason that kept resonating from the videos. We also learnt from the other members of the class... things to do and things not to do! “We took our leonberger puppy through two classes and had a private home consultation as well. Although we struggled to get our stubborn boy doing what he was meant to, with perserverence we can see the training finally working. Because it has taken longer than anticipated, we have found the videos a great resource and keep going back to these to help us. Lisa’s back up advice has also made us feel more at ease. It has been a challenge but good positive reinforcement training is giving us an amazing dog...still lots more work to do but we feel Lisa’s training has helped us all immensly : )”

“I had done puppy class with my previous dog in a vet clinic and we didn’t learn a lot and my dog got a big fright by one of the bigger puppies and has always been a bit scared of big dogs since. In Lisa’s puppy class there were only 4 dogs and everything was super organised to make sure all puppies took away the training and safe socialisation. The best bit was how Lisa patiently answered all our questions every week.”
“I wanted to thank you for the excellent classes. I learned so much and having the videos is such a great way to refresh my memory. I was particularly impressed by how the puppies reacted to you, even super bouncy Kirra - it was clear to see that your methods work and with practice can be applied at home. The Q&A sessions were really helpful for dealing with specific problems and you always had options to deal with issues if one method wasn’t working. If only you could train my family as well I’d have a perfectly behaved puppy (and children!).

“We went to sit happens because we adopted a second chance rescue dog and we wanted to make sure we were doing things right. After going to puppy class with eli and seeing how much we gained from going we decided to go to lead training class as well. “Where to start! Lisa has been instrumental in giving our frenchie a fresh start.
Our dog started becoming increasingly aggressive to other dogs and was not able to enjoy himself when being out.

I had alot of question and didnt know where to start with my wee girl but she worked through the courses, answering my questions, helping me with every problem that came up. I am a visual learner and I loved how Lisa would explain what we are working on, show us how to do it as a group and then work with everyone individually in the class to make sure we fully understood the piece of training and also provide videos each week to reinforce the learning.
