PRIVATE TRAINING
We can see you for private training in regards to a big range of topics. Very common are lead walking and recall issues or questions for the best setup around the house, but also behavioural cases where the dog is reactive (aggressive) to certain triggers, like people or other dogs. Our goal is to make your life with your dog/s pleasant and enjoyable for humans and canines. Sometimes certain behaviours stand in the way of this and we want to help you to fix it. If you get in touch about fear related behavioural issues, we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire which we will study thoroughly before our first session with you. We will also go home after the first session and send you a Personalised Training Plan with all topics touched as a reminder plus training resources like little articles or videos. For general dog obedience training topics, we don't require the questionnaire, but we still send out a little summary of what we have done in our session.
Please note that we don't call ourselves Dog Behaviourist Christchurch because we strongly believe this word should be protected for practitioners that have behaviour degrees. We do however work with behavioural cases, do behaviour consults and trainings and are happy to get a veterinary behaviourist on board if need be.
In our tailored, private sessions we meet you and your dog/s, conduct a thorough assessment, answer all your questions and work out together with you what the best approach for your individual situation will be. The initial training takes at least one hour whilst follow up session can be as short as 45 to 60 minutes. We recommend to schedule Follow-up Trainings to see how you are progressing, to address any issues that have come up and to adjust or further the Training Plan.
We can schedule a private session at one of our locations. This will allow you to save on travel costs. Our locations are the Ferrymead Estuary Veterinary Clinic, the St. Albans Tennis Club and the MacFarlane Park Centre.
Alternatively, we can come out and see you and your dog at your home or local area. This is beneficial if you are struggling to schedule a time where every family member is free or if you are aiming to address a behaviour that occurs mainly in your known environment or if you simply enjoy the comfort of your own home. We are very happy to come and see you and will try our best to work around your schedule.

NO TRAVEL FEE APPLIES!
